23 Feb Environmental Systems
Environmental Systems is the first IB Diploma Programme subject – Environmental Systems and Societies. This course can fulfill either the individuals and societies or the sciences requirement. Alternatively, this course enables students to satisfy the requirements of both subjects groups simultaneously while studying one course. It introduces you to some big environmental issues facing humans and the world we inhabit.
We would not be adequate guardians of the planet unless we care about it, have principles by which we live, and accept accountability for our actions after due reflection. The maxim ”Think globally, act locally” is a driver of this subject.
Environmental Systems:
• encourage students to take an active role in learning so that they may make judgments about important decisions that affect the world
• include examples and case studies from around the world to provide a clear scientific theory and practice, so students fully understand and the natural processes
• students will become equipped with the ability to recognize and evaluate the impact of our complex system of societies on the natural world.
